Wikipedia’d

September 14th, 2007 · No Comments

My wife scared the heck out of me the other day.  She said “Wikipedia’d.”  As a verb.  Watch out Google!

So what did she Wikipedia? The Chicken Dance.  Turns out (according to that unfailing source of all knowledge) that it’s “an oompah song” written by a fellow from Davos, Switzerland.  Yes, that Davos, Switzerland, the home of the World Economic Forum.

For the past two days I haven’t been able to get the image of the Chicken Dance being performed by the Davos financial elites out of my head.

Here’s how I imagine it going:
“OK now, gentlemen, economic titans of the world, you will all now please join us for a local tradition, the Chicken Dance!”  Nobody wants to do it, but what are you going to do, cause a diplomatic incident?  So away they go.

Happy days indeed at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
